You do what you can with what you've got!

It is interesting how much money is often the primary focus of nearly every political campaign, whether it be a governor's race or state legislator or even going to the national level as well. Of course we cannot deminish the fact that money does help, but there are so many other ways to run a successful campaign, and we are doing it.

So many voters and people who care enough to get envolved can do so much to help such as:

  • You can talk to people, informing them of the candidate and their stand on the issues.
  • You can send out emails and post on blogs and forums, the internet is such a glorified tool intended to make our lives easier and information much more available, so why not use it to our advantage?!?

We are doing just that, but I cannot stress that we must do it more. If you want to see Carl as our next governor, GET THE WORD OUT! Use every tool possible, even if it is just your mouth. Honestly, we don't have much money, we get enough to keep going and God always provides for our needs, but everyone can do so much more by just being involved in every way they can.
  • Put a link to the website in your signature of your emails.
  • Put a link on your personal website
  • Write letters to the editor of your local newspaper
  • Add a link or banner to your Myspace.com profile

Do anything you can to get the word out.

DO WHAT YOU CAN WITH WHAT YOU'VE GOT!

Mexicans attacked Carl....

So what did everyone think about the physical attack on Carl a couple weeks ago? Sure seems like those folks didn't seem to realize that they are in AMERICA!!!
If you saw any of the video footage great, if not check out this link to the news article on the incident and post a comment about it.

Well here we go folks, this is what I am talking about, Tennessee's answer to what South Dakota has done to Abortion. Taken from http://www.legislature.state.tn.us/

19. Bill information for SJR0127 http://www.legislature.state.tn.us/bills/currentga/BillCompanionInfo.aspx?billnumber=SJR0127
Abstract: Constitutional Amendments - Adds new provision to Article I to provide that nothing in Constitution of Tennessee secures or protects right to abortion or requires the funding of an abortion. -

Way to go South Dakota!

I am sure many may have heard about the great stand that the State of South Dakota has taken to outlaw abortion in their state, the bill was signed yesterday by Governor Mike Rounds. This could be monumental for the rest of the states to begin passing similar legislation. Abortion is murder, no doubt about it, and the Supreme Court has often times come down on the side that it is the right of the states to decide if they would keep it legal or outlaw it. We shall see if they have anything to say about this.

So what do you think? Is this something that we the people of Tennessee would like to have in our state? What do you think are the Constitutional ramifications for us here in TN, both at the State and National level?
What say ye'all?
